It writes placeholder text for layouts, mock-ups, templates and tests. Choose how much you need (paragraphs, sentences, an exact number of words, or list items), the language, and whether you want plain text or HTML with <p> and <ul> tags, then copy or download it. The classic Latin text can start with the familiar "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit…". The other languages are built from real, correctly spelled words of Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian, so the text has the letters, accents, word lengths and line breaks of the language your page will really use, without meaning anything.

Repeatable text: the seed
Every result comes from a seed. The same seed with the same settings always gives exactly the same text, in any browser, so you can note the seed in a design file or a test and get the identical text back next month. New text draws a fresh random seed; you can also type your own, such as a ticket number. The generator underneath is the same seeded one the random data generator uses, with unbiased sampling so every word in a list is equally likely.
Why real words in your own language matter
Latin placeholder text hides problems that real text shows at once. Vietnamese has stacked diacritics (ở, ữ, ặ) that need line height and a font with full Vietnamese coverage; a heading that looks fine with "Lorem ipsum" can clip the marks on "Ước mơ" or "Kỷ niệm". Vietnamese words are short, one syllable each, so a line breaks differently from Latin, and two-syllable words such as "thành phố" are written with a space inside. Spanish and Portuguese bring ñ, ç and accents, and Portuguese and Indonesian words run longer on average, which matters in narrow buttons and table headers. Testing with filler in the right language catches these before real content arrives.
How the text is built:
- Sentences have 6 to 14 words, start with a capital letter (including Đ, Ư, Á) and end with a full stop; longer ones get one comma in the middle.
- The same word is never used twice in a row.
- Words mode gives an exact number of space-separated words, the way word counters count them, so Vietnamese "thành phố" counts as two.
- List items are short phrases of 3 to 7 words, without a full stop, as menu entries and bullet points usually are.
